For 13 years, the Rosebud Chamber Music Festival has brought world-class musicians to one of Alberta’s most distinctive artistic communities. Known for its intimate performances, exceptional artistry, and the unique charm of Rosebud itself, the festival has become a cherished part of the cultural landscape — a place where music, setting, and audience come together in a truly meaningful way.

Now, we are entering an exciting new chapter.

Rosebud Chamber Music is evolving from a seasonal festival into a year-round presenting organization, bringing exceptional chamber music performances to communities across Alberta. This expansion allows us to share the same artistry, intimacy, and musical excellence that define the festival — while reaching new audiences and creating more opportunities to experience live chamber music throughout the year.

While our footprint is growing, our core remains unchanged.

Keith Hamm | FOUNDER

Viola

Keith Hamm is a Canadian violist and native of Rosebud, Alberta, currently serving as Principal Violist of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. Previously, he held the same position with the Canadian Opera Company Orchestra for eight seasons. A passionate chamber musician, Keith is the founder of the Rosebud Chamber Music Festival and performs regularly at leading festivals across Canada. He is also an active educator at the University of Alberta and has been featured on CBC Radio as “Canada’s next viola superstar.”
Julie Hereish

Cello

Julie Hereishis a Canadian cellist and Assistant Principal Cello of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra. She previously held the same position with the Quebec Symphony Orchestra and has performed extensively as a chamber musician across Canada and internationally. Julie is a prizewinner of the Zara Nelsova Memorial Award and has appeared on CBC Radio and Radio-Canada. A dedicated collaborator, she is a member of the Polyphonie String Quartet and co-founder of several chamber ensembles, bringing a dynamic and creative approach to performance.
Sheila Jaffé

Violin, Viola
Sheila Jaffé is a Canadian violinist and violist, currently serving as Principal Viola of the Canadian Opera Company and the National Ballet of Canada orchestras. A dedicated chamber musician, she is a co-founder of the Rosebud String Quartet and performs regularly with leading ensembles across Canada and internationally. Sheila has studied in Montreal and Berlin, and her work spans both traditional and contemporary repertoire. She is also an active recording artist, with recent releases featuring works by Franck, Elgar, Britten, Haydn, and Mozart.
Aleh Remezau

Oboe

Aleh Remezau is a Canadian oboist known for his expressive playing and dynamic artistry. He serves as Principal Oboe of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra and has performed with leading ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, and National Arts Centre Orchestra. An active chamber musician and soloist, Aleh has appeared at festivals across North America and internationally, and is equally at home in orchestral, contemporary, and theatrical settings. His performances have been praised for their virtuosity and emotional depth.
